View from the Esk Hause short cut

The Esk Hause short-cut is used by walkers heading for Scafell Pike from Sty Head. It leaves the official right of way at the head of Ruddy Gill, bypasses the false Esk Hause and reaches the right of way just above the true Esk Hause on the way up into Calf Cove. This is the view north from the short cut, looking towards Skiddaw and Keswick on the right and the Newlands and Buttermere fells in the centre and left. Note a tiny view of Sprinkling Tarn in the shadow.
